Reserve a Puppy
To ensure the best outcomes for everyone involved, we place puppies by application only.
Just as you want to make sure you're getting a sound, intelligent, trainable, people-loving Labrador that represents the best of the breed and is the right temperament for your situation, we want to make certain our puppies will be safe, loved, and well cared for by their new owners.
Puppy Pricing: Regardless of gender, puppies cost $850 for limited AKC and $1200 for full AKC registration. Limited registration means that all offspring (all future litters) from that pup cannot be registered with the AKC. Full registration means that pup's future litters CAN be registered. Full registration is really designed for breeding stock and conformation show dogs only and will be offered at our discretion (to protect the breed).
To that end, we require those interested in purchasing our puppies to do the following AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION:
1. Complete and submit our Puppy Placement Questionnaire (available below as a Word document or PDF).
2. Submit the required $250.00 deposit with the form (via Payal, which also takes major credit cards, using the button below).
3. Agree to our (Stoney Ridge Labs) selecting the best dog from the desired litter for the buyer's specific wants and situation. While we will do our best to honor buyers' requests as stated on the Puppy Place Questionnaire, buyers must be willing to let us select the dog we feel is best suited for them. We know our dogs. We can tell which pups have the best retrieving instincts (ideal for hunting), people orientations (ideal for family placements), and various temperaments that make them better suited for various living situations and roles. Please trust us to match your needs with the right pup.
Then, at the time of the final purchase and puppy pick-up, we also require these things:
4. That the buyer pay the balance of the puppy's purchase price in full at time of pick-up.
5. That the buyer sign a contract (see below) stating, in part, that if for any reason at any time in the future, the buyer can no longer care for a dog purchased from Stoney Ridge Labs, that the dog purchased from us will be returned to us, the breeder, Stoney Ridge Labs (for no refund, unless the dog is returned because of guarantee-related, vetrinarian-verifed genetic abnormality or defect, in which case we'll either offer a replacement puppy or full refund, whichever the buyer prefers). We guarantee our dogs, and we're committed to them for life. Simply put, if allergies or illness or housing changes or the like require you to give up your Stoney Ridge Lab, return him/her to us. We don't want any of our dogs to end up in dog pounds, shelters, rescues, or on the streets.
